Nature Stewardship Framework: Social Indicators
Status: Live since 28th January 2026
Description.
The Nature Stewardship Framework: Social Impact Indicators, establishes a structured approach for measuring the social benefits of projects under the Nature Stewardship Framework. This framework requires projects to select and monitor at least three key social impact indicators, ensuring transparency and stakeholder engagement throughout the crediting period. The indicators span skills and knowledge development, community wellbeing, cultural preservation, educational access, economic security, gender equality, and conflict resolution, among others. Each indicator is assessed using quantifiable metrics and annual monitoring, allowing for dynamic adjustments based on evolving local needs. By integrating rigorous social performance tracking, the framework enhances the credibility and inclusivity of nature-based solutions while fostering sustainable community development.
