Our pricing is designed to reflect the level of support each project requires, while remaining fair and predictable for project developers.

Fees are based on the complexity of the service, including project size, number of instances, methodologies applied, technical requirements, review intensity and expected timeline. Check out the presentation below for more details.

    Issuance Fee: $0.30 per credit

Methodology Developers

Concept Note Review: $1,000

Methodology Rebate:

For cumulative SCU issuances from each project applying the applicable methodology within a calendar year (1 January - 31 December):

1 - 1,000,000 units issued = USD 0.02 per unit

1,000,001 - 2,000,000 units issued = USD 0.018 per unit

>2,000,000 units issued = USD 0.015 per unit

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Registration, Validation, Verification and Methodology Fees are based on the average time/cost required for the Social Carbon Ltd team to process these functions. Issuance fees are set at a level that ensures Social Carbon Ltd can cover all costs over the medium term. As a registered charity, all revenues are used to advance our mission. All fees have been assessed against industry standards.

  • Fees are not refundable. The fee is payable for each request, including a new request made in follow up to a previously denied request.
