Description.
Spekboom (Portulacaria Afra), often called Elephant Bush, is a succulent plant found in Southern Africa. It is a bright green, small-leaved plant with a contrasting red stem and is widely considered to be a wonder plant, creating its own micro-climate, supporting biodiversity, and sequestering carbon.
This methodology provides a means to quantify net GHG emission removals (NERs) from project activities that restore and regenerate Spekboom. As per the applicable project activities, the Spekboom must be planted in its native geography and activities must be implemented to prevent grazing from livestock.
